The Role

We have permanent full‑time positions available in Castlemaine on both day and afternoon shifts. Both shifts include rostered days off, with afternoon shifts receiving additional penalty rates.

- Day Shift: Approximately 5:00 am‑3:00 pm – Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO (subject to availability)
- Day Shift: Approximately 6:00 am‑3:00 pm – Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO
- Afternoon Shift: Approximately 3:00 pm‑Midnight – Starting pay rate $28.26 per hour (including penalty) + RDO

Your duties may include but are not limited to:

- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in meat processing, including packing, slicing, lifting, pushing, pulling, holding, and carrying.
- Handle both raw and cooked meat products.
- Adhere to strict food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets.
- Rotate tasks to ensure variety in daily duties.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following abilities and personal attributes:

- A strong commitment to safe work practices at all times.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced workplace while completing repetitive tasks.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortably lift weights of 15–20 kg frequently.
- Able to work in chilled temperature rooms.
- A hardworking attitude and the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels.
- Commitment to following established procedures and health and safety practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine commitment to full‑time working hours.
- Must pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Please note that previous factory experience is not a requirement for these roles, all employment comes with paid on‑the‑job training. To be considered for this role, you must have full work rights in Australia.
