We’re currently partnering with a well-established regional referral hospital in Victoria to support the appointment of a Consultant Psychiatrist. This service values collaboration, flexibility and innovation in mental health care.
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a relatively compact but highly capable Mental Health & Wellbeing Service supporting a regional population of approximately 70,000 across a large catchment area.
The structure allows for:
* Broad and meaningful clinical scope across inpatient and community settings
* Close collaboration with consultation-liaison and inpatient psychiatry teams
* Direct engagement with an experienced Clinical Director and multidisciplinary team
* Opportunities for mentorship, making it particularly appealing for newer Fellows

* Approx 175+ beds
* A workforce of over 1,000 staff delivering care across the region

Who We’re Looking For
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (or eligibility)
* Doctors assessed by RAZCP deemed substantially or partially comparable encouraged to apply
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
* Strong commitment to patient‑centred care
* Experience or interest in community, crisis, or outreach psychiatry highly regarded
