Graduate IT Technician and Software Developer
For over 40 years Nagrom has been an integral part of Western Australia's mining success story, providing services to mining companies and their operations both within Australia and overseas. Located in Kelmscott Western Australia, Nagrom's Mineral Processing Facility and Laboratory offers extensive capabilities in all aspects of mineral separation and concentrates preparation.
Nagrom is seeking a Graduate IT Technician to join the team and assist with internal software and systems development. The role will work in conjunction with our operations team and key external stakeholders whilst being responsible for the following duties:
* Provide daily support for company software applications.
* Investigate and resolve service desk jobs, faults and issues with fleet software and computer systems.
* Assist with the archiving, retention and disposal of hard copy and electronic files and documents.
* Perform audits of information management systems, provide reports of information management practices to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and procedures, and supports business units in the use of the systems.
* Providing technical solutions to reliability and performance issues.
* Continuously monitor and stay informed about developments in the IT industry, and effectively propose updates or enhancements to our systems and infrastructure to stakeholders and management.
* Effective documentation, monitoring and analysis with particular focus on equipment modifications, reliability, and availability.
* Providing relevant training/education associated with the technical information to internal and external customers.
* Problem solving IT related issues.
* Determining appropriate actions for client challenges.
* Project management/planning.
* Supporting Microsoft operating systems & software.
* Remote monitoring & management of devices.
* Maintaining network infrastructures and servers.
* Monitoring & rectifying issues remotely & onsite.
* Email monitoring, filtering & analysis.
* Supporting internal system development team.
Qualifications
* Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology or related field.
* Demonstrated experience in Information Technology Support role or similar.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to a diverse audience.
* Exemplary listening and analytical skills.
* Capability to work productively with competing priorities, deadlines, and minimal supervision.
* Passion for new and emerging technologies.
* Proficient in setup and use of Microsoft products and hardware.
* Proficient in networking hardware setup and installation.
