As Tivra continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team. This is an exciting chance to work in a collaborative environment alongside skilled professionals and experienced mentors.
You will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality mechanical services for a wide range of building projects, from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs and documentation that meet project requirements, codes, and deadlines.
- Deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions in line with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
- Produce and review technical drawings, models, and calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant design tools.
- Prepare and submit authority applications and liaise with external stakeholders as needed.
- Attend site inspections, client and project meetings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct building assessments and ensure designs comply with applicable standards.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical services design within the building services industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant mechanical design software.
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and industry practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Experience across multiple project sectors (e.g., education, healthcare, commercial, or residential).
- Capability to manage design packages with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with project coordination and client-facing communication.
- Progress toward or attainment of Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status preferred.
