Make a Splash in Community Wellbeing. Banyule Leisure is seeking a passionate and experienced Operations and Aquatic Safety Team Leader to lead the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of services across our leisure facilities. This role ensures our centres operate in full compliance with industry standards and deliver exceptional experiences to our community.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of diverse staff in a energetic environment.
- Ensure the highest levels of safety for the community in our facilities.
- Promote a culture of high performance, learning and development.
- Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to uphold best practice principles and drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring / What We Are Looking For
- A commitment to Banyule Leisure\'s values and a keen interest in promoting health and safety of our customers and the wider community.
- Strong customer service focus and ability to multitask in a busy and dynamic environment, without compromising service to customers.
- At least 12 months\' experience in similar or related roles.
- Prior experience working with a relevant industry body or within the aquatics and recreation industry will be highly considered.
- Must hold all mandatory qualifications (listed below).
The role requires working to a Tuesday to Saturday roster or a Sunday to Thursday roster. The position will be rostered to work 2 days of direct service Duty Manager shifts and will need to be flexible to work across the hours of operation of the facility if required.

- Pool Operators Certificate
- Pool Lifeguard Certification
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
- CPR Certificate

- Working with children check
- Driver\'s license
What’s On Offer
- A full-time, permanent position, salary range $80,897.37 - $93,686.65 per year excluding super.
- Primary work location Ivanhoe Aquatic, with occasional requirements at Olympic Leisure and Banyule Nets.
- 26 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer / 4 weeks of paid parental leave - partner.
