About the Role
As a Senior Hydraulic Technician, you will be responsible for executing high-level hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting activities across various client sites. You will also provide leadership, mentoring and technical support to Hydraulic Technicians, Lubrication Technicians and Hose Technicians.
Key responsibilities include
* Hydraulic system troubleshooting and fault finding
* Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics
* Hydraulic and lubrication system maintenance
* Component rebuilds and change‐outs
* System testing and commissioning
* Accumulator charging and rebuilds
* Tube bending and installation
* Hose manufacture and installation
* Flushing and pressure testing
* Instrumentation integration and operation
* Flow meter and data logger operation
* Contamination control practices
* Working safely within fixed plant environments
* Mentoring junior technicians and apprentices
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of hydraulic system safety
* Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems and related electrical systems
* Proven fault‐finding and diagnostic experience
* Experience working on mine sites or industrial fixed plant
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
* High attention to detail and commitment to safety
* Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV in Fluid Power (preferred) or equivalent recognised industry experience/RPL
* Minimum 3 years' direct experience within the Fluid Power Industry
* Current Driver's Licence
* Ability to pass site medicals and drug & alcohol testing
* Relevant site tickets and inductions highly regarded
