About the Role
We have a rare opportunity for a CT Radiographer to join our Trainee Sonographer program across our three Radiology Tasmania Hobart clinics (Hobart City, Glenorchy, Rosny). The role involves an average of three days per week of training and two days per week of scanning, primarily in CT. You will receive comprehensive on-site training from experienced Sonographers and be part of a professional onsite team. The Radiology Tasmania Ultrasound training program is structured to provide appropriate scanning and observation time and will guide you through your post‐graduate degree over a two‐year period. Acceptance into the program requires a three‐year post‐qualified service commitment as a Sonographer at Radiology Tasmania.
About You
* Enrolled or able to enroll as a Student Sonographer undertaking a postgraduate university degree in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound at an Australian university.
* Full modality competency across CT (contrast and non‐contrast) and X‐Ray.
* Relevant qualification in Medical Imaging Technology or an associated medical field, and working towards a qualification in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.
* Strong modality experience across CT and X‐Ray.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including patient care, compassion and empathy.
* Committed to professional development, including ongoing learning as part of career growth.
* Able to commit to a career with Radiology Tasmania and hold work rights for Australia or a valid visa.
