About the role
Working across all sections of the kitchen, you will be responsible for working with your team to provide the highest level of food service to our sites. Explore your creative flair on themed nights and events and enjoy consistent work‐life balance on a 14:7 Fly‐In‐Fly‐Out roster.
We offer opportunities for full‐time, full‐time roaming, casual and chefs specializing in Chinese cuisine. Work across all sections of our kitchens and be responsible for providing the highest level of food service.
Compensation
Base salary: $99,890
Fulltime Chef Bonus: $10,000
Roster: 2:1 FIFO
Uncapped career potential to progress.
Who are we looking for?
* Australian citizenship, or full Australian working rights
* Able to undergo a pre‐employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check
* Certificate III (minimum requirement) or IV (desirable) in Commercial Cookery
* Strong chef experience (minimum 3 years) required
* FIFO chef experience highly desirable
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Ability to work well under pressure
Scope and Working Conditions
Working on the mines can be very rewarding but it isn't for everyone. Consider what to expect and what is required of you when assessing your options. Our Casual Chef and Fulltime Roaming Chef roles require flexibility and reliability with opportunity to gain experience across a variety of sites. Working on‐site with our teams means you'll be working 11 hours per day on a 2:1 roster (two weeks at work and one week at home).
