Key Responsibilities
* Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, filling holes, and removing old paint or wallpaper
* Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, exteriors, and other surfaces
* Measuring and estimating materials required for each project
* Selecting and mixing paints to achieve required colours and finishes
* Hanging wallpaper, applying decorative finishes, and completing touch-up work where required
* Operating painting tools and equipment safely and efficiently
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard and within project deadlines
* Maintaining workplace safety and complying with WHS requirements
* Communicating effectively with clients and team members to ensure project satisfaction
Requirements
* Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification
* 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
* Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Valid driver licence preferred
