Responsibilities

Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include:

* Building positive, respectful relationships with residents to enhance their quality of life and sense of belonging
* Conducting welfare checks to ensure resident comfort and safety
* Responding to resident enquiries and assisting with meal delivery where required
* Responding to call outs and initiating emergency services where required
* Undertaking first aid where required
* Performing basic administrative tasks
* Assisting with village events
* Providing assistance with miscellaneous tasks around the village, as directed by manager

Shifts

Shifts will mainly focus on afternoons, extending into overnight (sleepover) shifts, with regular weekend work required. There will also be opportunities to provide leave coverage across day, afternoon/night shifts during the week, along with availability for on‐call support.

Shift hours throughout the week are as follows:

* Day shift: 7 am – 3 pm
* Afternoon shift: 3 pm – 9 pm + sleepover shift, finishing at 7 am

About You

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community
* Demonstrated customer service experience
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with an approachable personality that helps build trust and rapport with residents, families, and team members
* A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
* The ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations
* Highly motivated and able to take initiative
* Basic computer skills

The successful applicant must complete a Police Check and will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between May and November of each year, with supporting documentation submitted prior to joining.
