Be part of a progressive organisation delivering community-led programs with the Northern Territory's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.

Full-time Contract – 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: $104,540 – $117,059 per annum. Total Effective Package: $128,925 – $143,199.

Role Overview

The Case Worker Starting Strong Family Support provides culturally safe, educational and responsive support to infants and young children and their families referred to the Starting Strong Family Support Program.

Qualifications

* Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or a degree or postgraduate qualification in Psychology or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience and skills in providing parenting support to vulnerable families that is child-focused and family-centred, educating and empowering parents to improve outcomes for their children.
* Demonstrated case management experience in the context of child and family services and facilitating case conferences and group activities.
* Demonstrated experience with family assessments, including a solid understanding of child development and the impact of trauma on children including neglect.
* Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history and knowledge of factors influencing the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and families in Central Australia.
* Current NT Driver's License.
* Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
