* Salary up to $99,525.59 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (+ up to 15.5% employer superannuation contributions)
* Full time, fixed term 12-month contract (with the possibility of extension)

About the Role
As a valued member of the Strategy and Development Directorate, the key focus of the Development Compliance Officer role is to investigate, resolve and prepare documentation in relation to alleged breaches of the Planning and Development Act, Building Act, relevant legislation, local laws and Policies.

What are we looking for?
We are seeking applications from candidates who have experience and skills and knowledge in a compliance, town planning or building surveying related field.
We are looking for someone who can provide quality customer service through highly developed written, verbal communication, consultation, negotiating, problem solving and conflict management skills, to resolve planning and building compliance matters. As a Development Compliance Officer, you will have the ability to understand and to interpret approved plans, Acts and Regulations.
Local Government experience in the application of Planning and Building legislation is desirable.
The successful candidate will be a true team player with attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
