Project Mechanical Engineering Lead

The Project Mechanical Engineering Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating all mechanical engineering activities for a large-scale hybrid power generation project.
This project comprises a Thermal Power Station, a Solar Farm, Wind Farm and a Battery Energy Storage System. This role involves managing internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure compliance, safety, and technical quality across all project phases.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and coordination of all mechanical engineering activities.
* Providing design and technical oversight for the hybrid power generation project.
* Ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with technical specifications and timelines.
* Engaging with various stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
* Ensuring adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards across all engineering workstreams.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation or renewable energy sectors.
* Possession of Chartered or near-Chartered Engineer status, with qualifications meeting Queensland, Australia's specific engineering requirements.
* Demonstrated experience in High Voltage (HV) systems, hybrid power systems, and engineering leadership roles.
