Diesel Motor Mechanics and Metal Fabricators
Our team seeks experienced Diesel Motor Mechanics and Metal Fabricators for full-time positions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Diagnosing and repairing faults in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
* Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on heavy vehicles and equipment.
* Conducting engine overhauls, brake and clutch repairs, and suspension system work.
* Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
* Interpreting technical manuals, service bulletins, and manufacturer specifications.
* Maintaining accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and services completed.
* Complying with workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Responding to breakdowns on-site or in the field (if applicable).
* Ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained and stored safely.
The metal fabricator is responsible for fabricating and repairing structural steel and metal components by marking out and preparing metal stock. To be successful, applicants must have at least 2 years' experience and hold a relevant trade qualification.
Requirements:
* 2+ years' experience in diesel motor mechanics and/or metal fabrication.
* Relevant trade qualification in mechanical engineering or metallurgy.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
