About The Opportunity
You are an Employment Coach. The role requires delivering high-level customer service by matching customers to effective interventions to become job ready and find suitable and sustainable employment. You will work with customers to identify and address employment and non-employment related barriers, empowering them to sustain employment, build independence, and improve wellbeing. The position is engaging, challenging and rewarding.
Responsibilities
* Ensure customers understand the requirements of the program and expectations for active engagement in employment or an activity preparing them for employment.
* Identify and coordinate the delivery of assistance that improves customers' employment prospects—through building self-esteem, facilitating access to non-vocational and vocational interventions, accessing activities at the site, and job matching.
* Deliver and facilitate a range of group‐based sessions to support customers in improving non‐vocational skills and the ability to complete a job search.
* Develop and maintain relationships with community organisations to ensure holistic support is provided.
* Review customers' requirements regularly to ensure they are tailored to individual circumstances.
* Conduct Reverse Marketing calls to employers to support placement of participants into employment.
Qualifications
* Passionate about your community and connecting people to opportunities.
* Results‐driven but people‐focused.
* Well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, liaise and consult with stakeholders.
* Professional and finely‐honed customer service skills, including facilitating small groups.
* Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows and MS Office suite.
* Ability to work within a contractual compliant environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in employment services or related fields is preferred.
* Current driver's licence and willingness to undertake satisfactory police check and Working with Children Card as a pre‐condition of employment.
