We are seeking a talented individual to join our Specialty Operations team supporting our Energy and Power Brokers at Marsh. This role will be based in Brisbane, QLD and requires a hybrid work arrangement, working at least three days per week in the office.
The Energy and Power team is a dynamic global group (700 colleagues worldwide) that advises companies and industry in the energy, power, and renewable energy sectors. As a Client Services Specialist you will report directly to the Specialty Operations team leader, and will work predominantly with Energy and Power brokers in Brisbane and across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Consistently use the required IT applications to maintain compliance, accuracy, and workload, contributing to resource allocation and process improvement.
* Ensure timely and accurate production/process of client transactions, including invoices, policy accounting documentation, quotations and placement slips, premium and adjustment calculations, and documentation for pre‐renewal and broking meetings.
* Draft policy wordings and endorsements.
* Support the achievement of high levels of client satisfaction through effective administrative support to account brokers.
* Support effective working relationships with clients and insurers as required by the account brokers.
* Ensure that accurate up‐to‐date records on all clients are maintained at all times.
* Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance offered by the company.
* Possess a thorough working knowledge of relevant insurance legislation, including the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation, and other relevant legislation.
* Acquire and maintain an awareness of the client's business and insurance needs, noting all briefing information provided by senior servicing and broking managers.
* Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the core aspects of relevant insurance and related legislation.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Strong administration and organisational skills.
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and a fast learner of other computerised systems.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines through effective time management skills.
* Motivated self‐starter focused on achieving results and able to work autonomously as well as be a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
* High School Certificate or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in a corporate environment.
* Experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
