What You'll Do
* Provide clinical consultation and case coordination for complex sexual assault and/or family violence situations
* Deliver education and training to healthcare staff on trauma-informed care approaches and sexual assault and/or family violence services and processes for the North West
* Develop, implement and maintain evidence-based policies and procedures
* Collaborate with community partners, police, child protection services and statewide SAFE services
* Lead quality improvement initiatives and data collection activities
* Mentor and supervise nursing, midwifery and/or medical staff in sexual assault and/or family violence response practices
* Participate in an on-call roster as and when required
What We're Looking For
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
* Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field preferred
* Demonstrated experience in sexual assault and/or family violence and/or mental health, or emergency care settings
* Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously and with diverse communities
* Understanding of trauma-informed care principles and safety planning
* Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice

Details of appointment
* Permanent, part time, day worker (with on call) position, working up to 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
* Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Current Working with Children Registration
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
* Holds or is working towards a post graduate qualification in the area of family violence assault forensic and medical examination
