Science Laboratory Assistant
This role is a 6-month fixed-term position based in the Narngulu Dry Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area, collecting samples using appropriate methods, conducting regular quality analyses with various laboratory equipment and techniques, and sampling, sorting and assaying mine in-fill drilling samples.
The ideal candidate will have completed Year 12 or equivalent experience, possess a basic understanding of laboratory processes, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and online software packages.
This position requires excellent time management skills, precision and accuracy in data analysis, reliable attention to detail, and positive communication skills.
1. Maintain a database of all sample details and results
2. Prepare summaries as required
3. Attend to miscellaneous requests from supervisors and managers
The successful candidate will be willing to complete training as required and demonstrate a cooperative approach to working in a team environment.
