Community Customer Support Officer

This role is all about people—providing exceptional customer service, providing support and guidance to volunteers, facilitating access to essential material support, and building strong relationships with community members, community organisations and stakeholders. What You Will Be Doing:
* Be the first point of contact for Community Centre enquiries—phone, email, and face-to-face.
* Provide information and referral support for Council, government, and community services.
* Assist with planning and delivering programs, projects, and events.
* Facilitate the distribution of material support to community members with compassion and fairness.
* Support and guide volunteers in their front-line interactions.
* Build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups and government agencies.
* Maintain accurate records and uphold Council's values of professionalism, inclusivity, and ethical conduct.
What You Will Bring:
* Experience in administration and/or customer support within a community-focused role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds and in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner
* Competence in Microsoft Office and Council systems (or similar).
* Current driver's licence and eligibility for a Blue Card (working with children check).
