We're seeking an experienced Coastal Engineer to join our team in a key role.
In this position you'll be responsible for reviewing key projects being delivered, developing concept designs in conjunction with the team as required and contributing to targeting and securing new work within our Ports & Maritime portfolio.
You'll also provide significant guidance, leadership, mentorship and coaching of other team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables.
* Offer expert advice and demonstrate advanced technical skills, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and client requirements.
* Demonstrate high-level project management skills while accomplishing project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner.
* Contribute significantly to the commercial success of projects and the team and contribute to successful business development.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent; Member of Engineers Australia; CPEng, RPEQ.
* 15+ years' relevant professional experience in the design, delivery and project management of Coastal Projects with a focus on seawall, breakwater design and revetments.
* High level consulting and client management skills; Business planning, budgeting and commercial acumen.
* Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex nature; Client service orientation; Proven project management skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements).
* An understanding of the business/organisation/marketing context of business solutions; Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and specifications.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
