Opes Accounting Group is a growing boutique accounting practice with offices in Malvern and Echuca. We are seeking an experienced Office Manager with prior accounting practice experience to lead our administration function and help improve workflow, systems and office performance.
This is not a standard administration role. We need a strong, hands‐on candidate who can lead the team, manage workflow accurately, improve processes, and support the Director in maintaining a high‐performing practice.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and support the administration team
* Oversee workflow to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
* Improve and document systems, procedures and office processes
* Assist the Director with the day‐to‐day running of the practice
* Co‐ordinate meetings, internal communications and firm events
* Support recruitment, onboarding and administration‐related HR matters
* Manage ASIC administration, reporting and database maintenance
* Work with Xero Practice Manager and Workiro to support workflows and task management
* Review administration timesheets and assist with debtor follow‐up where required
* Provide reception support when needed
* Assist with selected trust administration and compliance tasks as required
About you
* Previous office management or senior administration experience in an accounting practice is essential
* Proven ability to lead a team and manage workflow effectively
* Strong systems and process improvement capability
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills
* Experience with Xero Practice Manager highly regarded
Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm
