Fixed‐term, full‐time role until 1st July 2027, earning $142,790 - $191,084 per year, plus super.
What You Will Do
As principal policy officer, you will help deliver major policy, legislative and regulatory reforms across Victoria.
You will provide expert advice and lead projects that support community safety and crime prevention.
You Will
* Lead complex policy and legislative reforms from development through to implementation.
* Provide high‐level advice, briefings and recommendations to senior executives and ministers.
* Manage major projects and drive outcomes that support government priorities.
* Build strong relationships with senior public sector and Victoria Police leaders.
* Develop and deliver strategic reform proposals while responding to emerging issues.
About You
A law degree or equivalent qualification is desirable. You should have extensive experience developing and delivering policy and legislative reforms, along with strong knowledge of Cabinet, Parliamentary and government decision‐making processes.
You Should Also Have
* Strong policy design and development skills.
* Excellent critical thinking and problem‐solving ability.
* The ability to build productive working relationships and influence senior decision‐makers.
* Proven project delivery skills and clear communication.
