We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and collaborative sales manager, who thrives on challenges and on delivering results, to join our team in leading the energy transition for the ANZ markets.
Your Role As a key member of our sales team, your primary focus will be to drive growth by leading high‑impact commercial engagements and fostering lasting customer partnerships. You’ll play a critical role in expanding Fluence’s presence in the ANZ market through strategic sales efforts and by acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead deal teams to secure new business and close complex sales opportunities
Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with external stakeholders and act as the voice of the customer within Fluence
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of medium‑to‑long‑term opportunities
Lead and oversee offer preparation and contract negotiations, aligning technical and commercial aspects with internal teams including Sales Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Execution, and Procurement
Ensure that the team meets volume and margin targets through a collaborative, solutions‑driven approach
Provide technical guidance to customers by developing a deep understanding of Fluence’s energy storage solutions
Translate customer needs into tailored solutions, capturing both technical and commercial requirements
Identify BoP contractors or external partners if needed, and support communicating scope and evaluate proposals
Engage and evaluate external partners or contractors as needed to support project delivery
Serve as a mentor or resource across functions, reinforcing a customer‑centric mindset throughout the organization
Understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of Fluence’s current and future energy storage platforms
Provide customer insights and feedback to internal Product Management, Technology, and Growth teams
Actively contribute to shaping the ANZ energy storage market by sharing key insights and maintaining strong market intelligence
Represent Fluence in industry forums and with key stakeholders to enhance visibility and influence
Execute the regional go‑to‑market strategy by focusing on priority customers and market segments
Identify new market opportunities, sales channels, business models, and delivery approaches in line with regional strategic goals
Requirements
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior sales role, preferably within the power and energy sector
Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle—from proposal through negotiation and closure—with large, complex EPC/full turnkey contracts
Strong decision‑making and analytical skills, with a track record of solving multifaceted business challenges
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with existing customer networks
Experience in energy storage is highly desirable; alternatively, a solid background in the utility‑scale renewable or conventional power sector, with a solid grasp of grid connection and investment decision processes
