Your opportunity:
The Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to deliver high-quality, responsive, customer-focused ICT support services that ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests, while contributing to continuous improvement of ICT services and supporting the delivery of Council's broader ICT strategy and organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver first and second level ICT support services, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, prioritised and resolved in accordance with agreed service levels.
* Provide high-quality, customer focused support to end users, ensuring clear communication, timely updates and satisfactory resolution of issues.
* Contribute to the effective operation of Council's ICT environment by assisting with the investigation and resolution of system, infrastructure security and application issues.
* Maintain accurate records of support activities, assets and configurations to support reporting, audit and lifecycle management requirements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of ICT services through documentation, knowledge sharing, and identification of recurring issues and opportunities for optimisation.
* Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with Council's ICT governance framework, including information security, acceptable use and change management requirements.
* Support the delivery of ICT projects and initiatives through user engagement, testing, deployment support and post implementation activities.
Your skills and experience:
About you:
* Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence
* Experience in an ICT Support role delivering end-user support
* Strong customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness and communication
* Sound problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
* Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation and record keeping
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
