An excellent permanent opportunity for the Manager Corporate Strategy and Planning position. The role leads a strategic planning team, driving business planning, strategy implementation, and performance reporting while working closely with Executive Leadership and key stakeholders. It identifies emerging risks and opportunities, oversees the Research function, and supports decision‐making with evidence‐based insights.
Functional Accountabilities
* Develop and implement a best practice strategic planning cycle to produce the organisation's long‐term strategy, supporting the Director and the Executive Leadership Team in aligning with government expectations and sector needs.
* Build an integrated business planning culture, ensuring accountability for annual business plans and aligning departmental plans with the long‐term strategy, financial plan and risk management framework.
* Provide oversight of the research function, supporting initiatives to enhance research capacity and leverage existing research to inform strategic priorities.
* Design and deliver accurate, high‐quality consolidated strategy performance and progress reporting, ensuring reliable information for the ELT, government and key stakeholders.
The Team
The Strategic Services Directorate is a multifaceted unit dedicated to organisational excellence and resilience. It includes functions such as business planning, performance monitoring, strategic planning, the Project Management Office, business intelligence and GIS, enterprise risk management, internal audit, business continuity, committee governance, and service planning and accreditation.

Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications requiring analytical and strategic skills, or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualification in a business‐related discipline with a focus on research and analysis is highly regarded.
* Project management, change management and consulting skills and/or relevant qualifications.
* Capacity to function and interact strategically, communicating with influence at the executive level.
* High level conceptual, analytical and problem‐solving skills for complex issues, with a drive to change the organisation.
* Experience as a facilitator and internal/external consultant, convening inter‐agency groups, representing the organisation at senior forums, and developing reports, presentations, briefing notes and agendas for diverse audiences.
