Council is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to implement the delivery of programs while ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.
The successful applicant will have:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working in a Kindergarten setting and an understanding of current research and practice for learning and development in the early years.
* Provide a play based educational program that supports children's learning & development.
* Working knowledge of VEYLDF, NQS and Child Safe Standards
* The ability to work as a positive and collaborative team member and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
* Current VIT.
* Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training).
Below details the positions available across the Warrnambool City Council Kindergartens:
Position 1
This is a Temporary Part Time position commencing on 27 January 2026 until 18 December 2026.
The days of work for this position are Monday: 8.15am to 2.45pm, Tuesday: 8.00am to 5.00pm and Thursday: 8.00am to 5.00pm
Position 2
This is a Permanent Part Time position commencing on 27 January 2026, working 60 hours per fortnight.
The days of work for this position are Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 4.45pm.
Position 3
This is a Temporary Part Time position commencing on 27 January 2026 until 18 December 2026.
The days of work for this position are Wednesday (9.30am – 4.45pm) & Friday (9.30am – 4.30pm).
Position 4
This is a Permanent Part Time position commencing on 27 January 2026.
The days of work for this position are Monday (10.00am – 2.00pm) & Wednesday (11.30am – 2.30pm).
Position 5
This is a Permanent Part Time position commencing on 27 January 2026.
The days of work for this position are Tuesday & Thursday (11.30am – 2.30pm).
*You may be required to work from or relocate to any Council work site within the Council area depending on operational requirements. Days and times are subject to change depending on Kindergarten programming.
Salary will be in accordance with the Early Education Employees Agreement.
