About the Project
John Holland is progressing the development of Stage 1A of the Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project, a pivotal development set to transform the logistics landscape in Victoria, Australia. This initial phase marks the beginning of a journey towards creating a state‐of‐the‐art facility that will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond. Strategically located to harness the full potential of its proximity to key transport links, Beveridge is poised to deliver unparalleled efficiencies in freight distribution. Stage 1A lays the groundwork for a hub of innovation, ensuring cargo is moved with unprecedented speed and precision.
Role
We are seeking an experienced Traffic Manager to lead and coordinate all traffic management activities across the Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project. Reporting to the Project Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient movement of traffic around and through the project footprint, while protecting workers, road users and the surrounding community. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone experienced in managing complex traffic environments on large infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all project traffic management operations in accordance with legislation, permits, and John Holland standards.
* Develop, implement and maintain Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and staging methodologies.
* Coordinate traffic interfaces with construction, subcontractors, local authorities and key stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and project conditions.
* Supervise traffic crews and subcontractor performance across site activities.
* Monitor and audit traffic controls, responding to incidents, changes and emerging risks.
* Contribute to planning sessions to ensure traffic impacts are mitigated and works are efficiently sequenced.
* Act as the primary point of contact for traffic‐related matters with stakeholders and regulators.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience working as a Traffic Manager or Senior Traffic Supervisor on large infrastructure or construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of traffic management regulations, standards and compliance requirements.
* Proven leadership capability in managing teams and subcontractors in live environments.
* Ability to work collaboratively with construction, engineering and stakeholder teams.
* Excellent communication, planning and problem‐solving skills.
* A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
