Collectively we make the impossible possible.Recognised for delivering projects of global and national significance that help keep Australia safe, it is our shared passion that shapes our culture, and our people that make it a great place to work.About the OPPORTUNITYWe have a great opportunity for a CSI-IPT Cyber Security Specialist to join our Combat Systems & Integration line of business based at Adelaide.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.Reporting to the CSI-IPT DDG Cybersecurity Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the CSI-IPT DDG Cybersecurity Team which forms a part of the Specialty Engineering Team within the broader CSI-IPT DDG organisation.You will also contribute to architecture development and design coordination activities, including the conduct of technical investigations, performing risk assessments, and identifying opportunities for programmatic efficiencies across different phases of the engineering lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:Integrate Cyberworthiness considerations into the engineering effort for systems, subsystems and networksContribute to ICT, Emanation or Physical security certification and accreditation activities throughout the engineering lifecycleAssess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycleIdentify, define, and analyse system security requirementsPlan and conduct security Test and Evaluation activitiesPrepare and develop security documentation to support system authorisationAbout YOUSignificant experience with the systems engineering lifecycle and methodologiesSignificant experience in reviewing, interpreting and implementing Information Security Manual or NIST SP controlsExperience in interpreting security requirements, analysing and recommending security measures and policiesExperience in the design and implementation of ICT security policiesExperience with Security Information and Event Management Tools and analyticsSignificant experience in the evaluation of ICT infrastructure (Hardware/Software) configurations for security vulnerabilitiesExperience working in Defence or critical infrastructureSound working knowledge of current cyber security risks and experience implementing security solutionsSignificant experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologiesAbility to oversee security testing and make recommendations to improve, liaise and schedule external parties to validate as appropriateExperience working with cross domain solutions and multi-level security architecturesExcellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to internal and external stakeholdersTertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (computer science, software engineering, Information Systems etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - DesirableCertified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) - DesirableA current Australian Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulationsWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
