About You And The Role
The successful applicant will be supported by strong school leadership, established systems for program delivery, and existing networks of employers and training providers. This is a highly visible, community‐facing role that contributes directly to strengthening industry partnerships and improving student pathways into employment and further training. The position offers variety and autonomy, combining student engagement, employer liaison, program coordination, and event management.
Applicants require relevant experience in vocational education, training, employment services, or industry engagement, with a strong understanding of School‐Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships and senior secondary pathways.
Experience coordinating student placements, work experience, or career development programs is essential, along with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and industry stakeholders.
Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and support positive student transition outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Actively engage with industry and business to source School‐Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities for prospective students and seek opportunities for student placement in industry.
* Develop engagement activities and market the benefits of School‐Based Traineeships, Apprenticeships and TAFE training as a career pathway preference for students at the nominated State High School/College.
* Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
* Provide the Principal/Deputy Principal with a regular update of the program outcomes and identify issues that may impact on the success of the program.
