About the Role
Weekend Chef in aged care is responsible for preparing high‐quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of older residents, including those with specialised diets. Working independently or with limited support, the Weekend Chef ensures meals are delivered on time, food safety standards are upheld, and the kitchen operates smoothly during weekend service. The role contributes directly to resident wellbeing, comfort, and quality of life.

* Roster: Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm
* Remuneration: Hourly rate + penalty rates & superannuation

What You'll Do
* Prepare and cook nutritious, high‐quality meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences.
* Support the Head and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations and food service.
* Help maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance.
* Step up and lead sections of the kitchen, developing your supervisory skills.
* Contribute ideas to menus and help create a dining experience that brings joy to our residents.
What You'll Need
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
* Several years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
