Lead AI-Powered Mineral Exploration
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and growth of our cutting-edge ExoSphere Platform. This innovative tool utilizes satellite-connected geophysical datasets, machine learning models, and 3D interactive user experiences to accelerate mineral discovery.
* Oversee the architecture and development of the ExoSphere Platform, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation in mineral exploration.
* Manage and grow a team of software engineers, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting ambitious project timelines.
* Collaborate closely with geoscientists, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the platform.
* Mature the software engineering culture of the platform team, establishing best practices for technical design rituals and assets, AI-assisted development, code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
For this role, we are looking for an experienced leader who has a proven track record in building, leading, and growing high-performing cloud software development teams. You should have hands-on experience building on AWS, GCP, or Azure and delivering at pace in a venture-backed startup or equivalent high-growth environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in building, leading, and growing high-performing, multidisciplinary cloud software development teams.
* Technical leadership experience in the development of a cloud-based platform featuring large-scale geospatial or scientific datasets and 3D interactive user experiences.
* Deep, hands-on experience building on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
* A Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Geosciences, or a related field.
* Experience in the resources, energy, or technology sectors.
* Background in scaling a platform from an early stage to a mature, customer-facing product.
* Deep expertise in software development, MLOps frameworks, and Site Reliability.
