Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of end-to-end solution architectures across Azure, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
* Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions across cloud, data, integration, and application domains.
* Provide technical leadership across Azure platform services including Landing Zones, IaC (Bicep), Azure DevOps pipelines, security tooling, and observability capabilities.
* Engage with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to design and deliver solutions across diverse technology domains.
* Develop high-level and detailed architecture artefacts including diagrams, solution designs, and implementation patterns.
* Provide expert advice on Operational Technology (OT) systems including SCADA, IoT, IIoT, networking, and system integration.
* Ensure adherence to governance frameworks including RBAC, tagging, policy, logging, and security standards.
* Contribute to business cases, program delivery plans, and project documentation with technical expertise.
* Review and uplift solution designs to ensure quality, scalability, and alignment with standards.
* Mentor engineers and support capability uplift across DevOps and cloud engineering practices
The Successful Applicant
Required Experience
* 10+ years experience in IT with strong focus on Azure cloud architecture and engineering.
* Extensive experience designing and delivering Azure-based solutions at enterprise scale.
* Strong experience across DevOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation.
* Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within critical infrastructure sectors.
* Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence without authority.
Technical Skills
* Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, identity)
* Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git
* Infrastructure as Code (Bicep preferred)
* Azure Policy, governance, and security frameworks
* Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and monitoring tools
* Integration and API design
* OT systems (SCADA, IoT, IIoT) - desirable
Certifications
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (required)
* Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (desirable)
