The Team

Our diverse Services business provides 24/7 servicing for hospitals, utilities, data centers, support for the resources sector and just about everything in between. Our portfolio covers UPS, critical cooling equipment, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, substation monitoring, and a wide range of ancillary equipment. We enable owners, end users and custodians to minimise breakdowns, increase reliability, efficiency and safety while reducing costs and simplifying operations.

The Opportunity

Our growing Services team is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to be based in Adelaide (South Australia). Utilising your proven skills and experience, you will deploy your passion for outcomes as you manage existing customers across Power Systems, Digital Power and Industry as we continue to gear up for an exciting period of growth within a market that is full of opportunity.

Reporting to a State Sales Manager, you will be empowered to work in an environment that will include a mix of time in the office, valuable face time with customers and the opportunity to enjoy flexible hybrid working arrangements that support you to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

* Maximise orders, profitability and customer satisfaction within your territory and assigned accounts for a broad range of technical products and services.
* Develop and maintain key relationships as you focus on high levels of customer service.
* Identify new business opportunities while utilising your knowledge, skills and experience to proactively address customer needs.
* Develop and execute an annual sales plan and provide ongoing account management.
* Educate customers on offers, products, and services (e.g., including Modernisation, Consulting, Recurring and Digital offers).
* Provide key information to our tender teams in preparation of sales quotations and bid proposals.
* Focus on ongoing customer satisfaction as you proactively oversee all ongoing activities.
* Collaborate cross‐functionally with our account managers to maximise business opportunities.
* Focus on sales/pipeline forecasts and account planning in line with key reporting milestones.

Ideal Candidate

* Proven technical sales background coupled with experience in a similar position (Account Manager or Business Development Manager), ideally within IT or electrical markets.
* A consultative style and experience selling to a diverse range of customers.
* A true growth mindset coupled with the curiosity to learn and the desire to make an impact.
* A digital mindset with proven skills in MS Office and previous experience utilising a CRM.
* Knowledge of Schneider Electric offers, an electrical trade or engineering background will be viewed favourably.
