About the role
You will join one of the world's leading and connected rural health services as the Health and Security Assistant, where we are driven by a single goal: healthier rural people and thriving communities. Supporting the care delivery team is at the heart of this role, providing assistance to the nursing team in the delivery of patient care under the guidance of nursing staff.
Responsibilities
* Providing general assistance in wards.
* Undertaking cleaning duties, including areas near the Emergency Department and inpatient units.
* Assisting with patient transfers throughout the facility.
* Carrying out security‐related tasks as required or directed; performing routine security checks.
* Collaborating with cleaning and nursing teams to support patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Physical fitness and ability to perform cleaning and security tasks throughout each shift.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Willingness to undergo training within the Patient Support Services team.
Additional Information
The position is part of the Patient Support Services team at Lachlan Health Service, consisting of approximately 45 staff across cleaning, catering and security services operating seven days per week.
