What You'll Do

As a Senior Technical Analyst, your technical expertise is needed to support solution design, build, and integration, ensuring alignment to functional requirements, client architecture standards, and APS governance expectations. You will also work closely with Technical Leads and Architects to support delivery outcomes, providing guidance to junior team members and assisting in coordinating technical activities within a delivery stream. This role involves engaging with stakeholders as required, contributing to technical decision-making, and supporting the delivery of quality outcomes.

Due to the secure nature of this role, we are needing candidates that have Australian citizenship with preference to those with security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions within a delivery stream
* Translate business and functional requirements into technical tasks, designs, and user stories
* Support solution build, integration, and testing activities to ensure high‐quality delivery outcomes
* Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, and cross‐functional teams (BA, Dev, Test) to deliver aligned solutions
* Assist in coordinating technical activities within the team, ensuring tasks are tracked and delivered to schedule
* Perform code reviews, testing support, and technical validation activities where required
* Identify and escalate technical risks, issues, and dependencies impacting delivery
* Provide guidance and support to junior team members, contributing to capability uplift
* Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand‐ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos)
* Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and support alignment to ATO standards and delivery expectations
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering practices and team delivery
What You Need
* Minimum of 3‐5+ years' experience in software engineering, systems development, or technical delivery roles
* Proven experience working within Agile delivery environments (Scrum or SAFe)
* Hands‐on experience with modern technology stacks (e.g. Java, .NET, cloud platforms, APIs)
* Experience supporting solution design, integration, and system implementation activities
* Ability to analyse technical requirements and translate them into practical delivery outputs
* Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across cross‐functional delivery teams
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills within project environments
* Understanding of governance, security, and compliance requirements in government delivery contexts
* Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (desirable)
* Australian citizenship with at least 3‐5 years of continuous residence
