* Temporary tenure until May 2027.
* 32 hour fortnight - work pattern Monday and Tuesday's weekly.
* Located from the Port Fairy office.

We are seeking a dynamic Economic Development Officer to drive investment, support local businesses, and implement key projects that shape the economic future of our region. Deliver impactful economic development initiatives, support local business growth and attract new investment, coordinate business training and events, build partnerships with industry, government, and the community.
To be successful in this role you will need
Qualifications
Essential
* Employee working with children check
* Current Victorian driver licence
Desirable
* Tertiary degree level qualification in a business, management or marketing related discipline is preferred
Experience
Desirable
* Several years' professional experience preferred, ideally within a small business environment.
* Experience in local government

Relationship building and business engagementDemonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with local businesses, industry groups and community stakeholders, and provide responsive support that contributes to business growth and economic development outcomes.
Key selection criteria 2
Research, analysis and reportingDemonstrated research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret economic data and prepare reports to inform strategic planning, decision-making and funding opportunities.
Key selection criteria 3
Planning and organisational skillsDemonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks, work both independently and collaboratively, and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
