Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self‐motivated Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our team. If you thrive on challenges and take pride in your technical expertise, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact.
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our plant and equipment. This hands‐on position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and support production goals.
Roster: Lifestyle‐friendly 12‐hour shifts (24/7 roster) with a 7‐day rest period every 4 weeks.
Remuneration: Attractive 24/7 shiftwork package with opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively in a team environment, including with apprentices, to resolve day‐to‐day maintenance challenges.
* Perform preventive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns to minimise production disruptions.
* Analyse faults, provide solutions, and implement rectifications.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
* Plan, organise direct and control the daily tasks you are undertaking to align with operational requirements.
About You
* Mechanical trade certificate (e.g., Fitter and Turner).
* A demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Basic computer literacy to support maintenance documentation and planning.
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within a fast‐paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
