Position: Teacher (Kindergarten to Year 6) – Permanent full‐time, commencing Term 3, 2026 at Baler Primary School, South Hedland, Western Australia.

Role Summary
The successful applicant will play an integral role in delivering high‐quality education, primarily within early years and Year One, with flexibility to teach across the school. The role requires a passion for improving literacy and numeracy outcomes and an ability to support whole‐school initiatives through explicit teaching, instructional strategies, and strong collaboration with colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, challenging programs for Kindergarten to Year 6 students, employing best practice planning aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum.
* Implement evidence‐based teaching and assessment strategies, including Heggarty, Letters and Sounds and Talk for Reading and Writing to support literacy development.
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community, fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery, whole‐school processes, and professional development initiatives.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of educational outcomes through reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience
* Australian/ New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Qualified teacher and member of a relevant teacher association.
* Experience teaching within the Early Years and Year One cohort preferred; ability to teach across Year One to Year Six.
* Demonstrated expertise in literacy and numeracy instruction and familiarity with the Western Australian Curriculum.
* Commitment to professional development, collaboration and a whole‐school approach to student learning.
