Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead our store operations and manage a dedicated team in delivering an outstanding shopping experience to our customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of retail management experience, a solid understanding of the liquor and beverage sector, and a passion for creating a customer-centric retail environment. This full-time position offers a competitive salary between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Lead, train, and develop a team of staff members, fostering a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
Ensure stock levels are maintained and that all products, including beer, wine, and liquor, are properly displayed and organized.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve and exceed store targets and KPIs.
Provide expert knowledge and advice to customers on products, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Manage inventory, order stock, and conduct regular stocktaking to ensure accurate records.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including liquor licensing laws and age restrictions.
Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, and ensure the store aligns with brand guidelines.
Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and controlling operating costs.
Assist in staff scheduling, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in liquor stores, food and beverage, or similar retail environments.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of the liquor and beverage industry, including product knowledge and industry regulations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Proficient in retail management software and POS systems.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays when required.
