Position Overview
* Role : Nurse Practitioner (Virtual Care – Contractor)
* Work Type : Remote, 1099 Contractor
* Time Commitment : 20 hours/week – guaranteed schedule with set shifts
* Scheduling : Predictable shifts; options may include evenings or weekends
* Compensation : $60/hour (contractor rate)
This is a part-time contractor position with a fixed weekly schedule. Shifts will be pre-arranged and recurring week to week.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct virtual patient evaluations via scheduled video visits
* Manage initial intake and treatment planning for adult patients (18+)
* Review lab results and prescribe medications (primarily GLP-1 agonists when appropriate)
* Address ongoing patient concerns via chat and portal communications
* Handle prescription refills, lab follow-up, and chronic care coordination
* Practice within the scope of evidence-based and inclusive care models
o Licensure : Active NP licenses in at least 15 states.
o Certification : AGNP-BC or FNP-BC (ANCC or AANP)
o Experience :
+ 2+ years independent NP practice preferred
+ Experience in weight loss care and GLP-1 prescribing highly preferred
+ Familiarity with compound medications a plus
+ Background in internal or family medicine preferred
+ Chronic care and telemedicine experience are strongly desired
o Fully remote work environment
o Malpractice coverage (including tail)
