About the role
As a Network Planning Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining hydraulic network models that inform the planning, design, and optimisation of Unitywater's water and wastewater infrastructure. Working within a collaborative and highly skilled team, you'll undertake network investigations, support capital planning programmes, and provide technical advice that helps deliver reliable services for our customers and communities now and into the future.
You'll also contribute to infrastructure planning for growth areas, assess development impacts on network performance, and support strategic planning initiatives through modelling and system analysis.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain hydraulic network models that support planning, design, and optimisation of infrastructure.
* Conduct network investigations and provide technical advice.
* Support capital planning programmes and deliver reliable services to customers and communities.
* Contribute to infrastructure planning for growth areas and assess development impacts on network performance.
* Support strategic planning initiatives through modelling and system analysis.
Qualifications
* Degree qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar).
* Experience in water and wastewater network planning, modelling, or system analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
* Knowledge of hydraulic modelling software and infrastructure planning principles.
* Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement and safety.
