Job Description
This permanent, part‐time opportunity offers hands‐on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.
Service Location
Canterbury. This is a great service with minimal behaviour challenges and a supportive school. The service does not have a dedicated space but is easy to pack up/down.
Shift Details
You'll work across afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday: After School Care: 3:00 – 6:00pm.

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you'll be a key leader in delivering high‐quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
* Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program.
* Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
* Play and have meaningful interactions with primary‐school‐aged children.
* Support program compliance with industry regulations.
The Successful Candidate
* Previous experience working in before and after school care or education.
* Thrives in a fast‐paced environment and enjoys fun activities.
* Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
* Strong team player with excellent problem‐solving skills and a can‐do, positive attitude.
* Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary‐aged children.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and loves to have fun.
* Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
* Completion of mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment.
