We seek a highly motivated lawyer to provide legal advice and support to the New South Wales hospitals of St Vincent’s Health Australia. Your portfolio will be St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney, Sacred Heart Health Service, The Mater Hospital North Sydney, and St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith. Report to and work closely with the Executive Director of Legal and Risk Be the lead in the enterprise risk function across the NSW facilities and manage and provide direction to one Risk Specialist Provide legal advice as required by the NSW facilities, acting as a key trusted adviser to executives across all areas of the business, including on potential and actual legal exposures and recommended proactive and remedial risk management Provide legal expertise and support for significant projects and key business decisions with broad organisational and reputational implications Draft, review, and advise on a range of contracts for the NSW facilities Work with the Senior Leadership Teams on the legal implications when evaluating and structuring business opportunities Conduct legal compliance programs for the organisation including educating managers on key legal issues Provide support and guidance to other members of the Legal and Risk team About You
At least 8 years’ experience as a lawyer drafting, reviewing and advising on contracts Good attention to detail Excellent drafting skills Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines Ability to coordinate with all levels of management and to provide commercial solutions to problems Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders Why work at St Vincent’s?
