Electrical Senior Project Engineer – Perth

Role Overview
This role is a local project position in Perth, with 55 hours per week (he home every night). The Electrical Senior Project Engineer will manage and deliver high quality electrical engineering output across infrastructure and utilities projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement detailed project plans, work schedules, and methodologies for electrical works, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets and scope.
* Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts; provide engineering input to ensure compliance with industry standards, UGL requirements, and client expectations.
* Oversee on‑site electrical activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards; manage subcontractor performance and resolve site issues as they arise.
* Promote and enforce UGL's HSE policies and procedures across all civil project activities; ensure risk assessments and safety measures are effectively implemented.
* liaise with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address engineering or construction challenges; prepare and deliver progress reports and technical documentation.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
* Proven experience delivering electrical engineering works in infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects – ideally within a multi‑disciplinary or contractor environment.
* Strong understanding of electrical design principles, methodologies, and relevant Australian standards, with the ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
* Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, with experience implementing and maintaining compliance on project sites.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
