The Avoca Beach Hotel is seeking a hospitality professional to work across all facets of the accommodation, café, F&B service, housekeeping, and after hours guest assistance. This is a live onsite position and requires attending the after hours phone 4-5 nights per week.
Your duties will include:
* Attending and managing front desk reception enquiries from phone, internet and third party accommodation providers in a professional and efficient manner.
* Managing housekeeping staff, cleaning rosters, cleaning inventory and room availabilities.
* Managing the smooth check-in and check out of guests.
* Attending in-house guests queries, requests and complaints.
* Ensuring all workplace health and safety and food safety policies are maintained
* Weekend/Public holiday work and night work.
* Assisting with the smooth running of Treetops Café, adjacent to the Reception.
* Working closely with the management team to ensure the success of the overall business.
* Assisting in after hours guest assistance, including late check-ins and resolution of any issues.
* Report to the Accommodation Manager, and working closely with the General Manager and broader team to ensure the overall success of the Avoca Beach Hotel.
About You:
* You have ACCOMMODATION experience in a similar role, and
o experience with the RMS Reservation system, OR
o are very quick at learning digital management systems.
* You are reliable, diligent and give attention to detail.
* You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* You are a team player
* You are hands-on
Experience with functions will be well regarded but not essential.

The accommodation segment includes 78 rooms, with accommodation options in both self-contained and motel style rooms and guest facilities such as pools and tennis court. We offer Event and Conference facilities with a variety of spaces suitable for Weddings, Business meetings or events and special occasions. We also have a drive through bottle shop.
