Hepburn House is a 106 bed Aged Care Facility that has recently expanded. Its management is based on a person centred model of care. Residents at Hepburn House are empowered to have choices and make decisions regarding their care and influence the management of the home they live in. Responsibilities
- Prepare food as directed.
- Wash and clean all utensils, dishes, pots, pans and ensure they are stored properly.
- Handle, sort and serve meals, morning, afternoon tea and supper.
- Ensure residents allergies, preferences, texture modification and likes and dislikes are appropriately catered for
- Wash, peel, chop, cut and cook foodstuffs and assist with preparation of salads, sandwiches and desserts.
- Prepare and maintain dining room in a clean, protected and precise manner
- Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling.
- Organise laundering of kitchen linen
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools and areas
- Assist with ordering food and other supplies.
- Check the quality and quantity of received products.
- Actively contributes to Continuous Improvement which promote quality improvement to services provided.
- Demonstrates a flexible and enthusiastic attitude towards undertaking a variety of tasks with a team approach.
- Active participation in meeting.
- To ensure all residents are approached in a polite, courteous manner
- Provide sensitive, inclusive care to all residents including those from LGBTI communities
