What you'll be doing
* Operating and setting up CNC milling, HBM, VTL and turning machines to produce parts to precise specifications
* Interpreting engineering drawings and work orders to determine the appropriate machining processes and parameters
* Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance
* Monitoring machining operations and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
* Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve any issues or implement process improvements
* Maintaining detailed records of production activities and outputs
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally within the jobbing shop engineering or manufacturing industry
* Metal spray, laser cladding or HVOF machining experience preferred
* Minimum of 5+ years experience as a CNC Machinist
* Strong working knowledge of CNC machine programming, operation, and maintenance
* Proficiency in Fanuc CNC programming systems
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
* Excellent problem‐solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‐quality work
* Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the engineering team
* Australian work authorisation is required
