Pavement Technician Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Pavement Technician in our asphalt surfacing crew. This position involves delivering high-quality pavement works on major road maintenance and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and support asphalt surfacing operations: placing, raking, compacting asphalt on road surfaces
* Use plant and equipment such as pavers, rollers (steel or multi-rollers), and rakes
* Perform resurfacing, patching, overlays and new surfacing works
* Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
* Work effectively as part of a crew, following instructions from supervisors and coordinating with other trades
* Maintain a strong zero-harm safety culture, including correct use of PPE, hazard reporting and working within traffic-management controls
* Travel to and from project sites, and sometimes work outside normal hours (early starts, overtime, weekend work) as required
Requirements:
* Construction Induction (White Card)
* Proven asphalt surfacing experience (road construction/maintenance)
* Ability to operate or assist with asphalt machinery (rollers, paver, screed, rake)
* Strong team-orientation, reliable work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety
* A clean driver licence and proven safe driving record
