Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Boilermaker/Welder First Class to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing pressure vessels and pipes.
About the Role:
1. Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
2. Select, clean, and prepare metal stock.
3. Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.
4. Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
5. Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
6. Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding.
7. Assemble, weld, and repair pressure vessels and pipes.
8. Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment.
Key Requirements:
* Qualifications as a Boilermaker-Welder/Metal Fabricator/Pressure Welder/Welder (First class) through an apprenticeship or equivalent, or AQF Certificate III including two years of experience, or three years of relevant experience.
* Demonstrated ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
