Assistant Manager | Morrison Hotel
Are you a hospitality professional who thrives in a premium, food-led environment? The Morrison Hotel is looking for a floor-owning, service-driven Assistant Manager to lead our busy dining room and bars.
This isn't your standard counter-service pub. The Morrison is a legendary, high-volume steakhouse where exceptional table service is the core of what we do. We need a hands‐on leader who is completely comfortable in a fast‐paced, high‐standard dining environment, someone who can seamlessly carry a three‐plate drop or command a drink tray during a peak dinner rush, all while mentoring a sharp floor crew.
And let's be honest... given our reputation for serving the best steaks in Brisbane, a love for great beef certainly won't hurt!
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager
* Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
* Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
* Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
* Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
* Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent Requirements
This is a hands‐on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you
* You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
* You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
* You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
* You've got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
